Wraptivo Building Honda CR-Z For SEMA 2010

RJ De Vera teams up with Wraptivo for an awesome CR-Z build

Wraptivo Building Honda CR-Z For SEMA 2010

September 1st 2010 Irvine, CA – Wraptivo™ will produce our very first in house SEMA car in the form of a 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid concept build dubbed “Type-F”.The goal for the Wraptivo™ Honda CR-Z Type-F Concept is to evoke the notion of fun, which lies at the core of the CR-Z DNA while also giving a nod to the spirit and Honda heritage of the CR-Z. The Type-F concept will feature a sportier aesthetic over stock with the use of a combination of Honda Accessories Aero pieces and along with other aero components from Japan. The aero package will be complemented with a design package created to give this concept a special uniqueness yet with a familiarity that is still unmistakably Honda. The vehicle will be wrapped with Wraptivo™ Matte Black and Carbon Black Film while small accents will be left in gloss black. The CR-Z will act as a canvas for Wraptivo to showcase its vehicle wrap options and give customizers a preview of how they can take advantage of this technology as a new way to protect their factory paint while also having the ability to easily change the look of their vehicle.

Rest of the press release available after the break.

Josh Cloud x Gurnade: Nissan 370Z Rendering

Another beautiful rendering from the talented team at Gurnade

Josh Cloud x Gurnade: Nissan 370Z Rendering

We've been a huge fan of Josh Cloud's work and now that he's assembling a team at Gurnade, we're overly excited to see what comes out of the woodwork. This is one clean 370Z rendering that they recently did, certainly a car we can picture coming to reality even on the streets of So Cal. A Tamon Designs body kit outfits the Z34 while a custom paint job and a collection of JDM goods packs the rest. Clearly Gurnade used Bride seats in the interior, project mU brakes and a set of Volk Racing GTS wheels. Make sure to hit the jump to sign up to Gurnade's emailing list and staying up to date with this talented team of designers.

Lexus IS350 goes low, goes green, does wonders

The stance and TE-37s on this IS350 is stunning!

Lexus IS350 goes low, goes green, does wonders

Having owned an IS250 before, I still like the styling and aesthetics of the car.  For a sedan it's great and with a little bit of work it definitely looks more sporty than luxury.  I ran across this IS350 on Chad Lunn's flickr and decided to share.  The wheel color combination with the car's slammed stance does it a lot of justice.  Not quite sure what's going on with the hood, but hey it's unique and different so props to the owner.  Check out more pics after the jump.

Volk Racing TE37 Super Lap (SL) Announced

An old-school wheel design that has stood the test of time

Volk Racing TE37 Super Lap (SL) Announced

There are few wheels in this world that were popular over a decade ago, that are popular today.  But Volk Racing's TE37 is a wheel that's known to almost every automotive enthusiast in the world.  Having been seen on cars ranging from a 1992 Honda Civic EG to a 2009 BMW E92 M3, the TE37's design is undoubtedly the most popular tuner wheel of all time.  Rays Engineering (manufacturers of Volk Racing) has recently announced the release of the TE37 SL - where SL stands for Super Lap.  Rather than reinventing the timeless classic, Volk Racing is simply shedding off some more weight from its already lightweight TE37 wheel.  Its name lends itself to a preferred track setup, but we're pretty sure we'll see plenty of street cars rocking a set.  More photos after the jump.

A Very Clean TSX

Acura sedan tuning at its best.

A Very Clean TSX

Growing up and watching hundreds of Civics and Integras being built, it's hard to depart from the Honda and Acura tuning community as a whole.  Even though I personally don't own an H or A car anymore, I still have a soft spot in seeing some of the nicely built ones out there.  I ran across this TSX that almost makes me want to go out and get one myself.  It's one of the cleanest ones I've ever seen and out of all the states it's located in - Indiana!  A custom set of Mag Blue TE-37s really set it off along with the lowered stance and skirt kit.  Even the engine bay has its fair share of delicious goodies.  More pics after the break.

Sean Klingelhoefer: John Nguyen's S2000

Sean captures this beautiful S2000 brilliantly

Sean Klingelhoefer: John Nguyen's S2000

Our good friend, John Nguyen, has recently had his J's Racing S2000 featured in the July 2009 issue of Super Street Magazine.  John Nguyen's S2000 is one of the nicest built S2000s in the nation, sporting a full J's Racing widebody, Spoon Sports brake setups and an immaculate set of Volk Racing CE28Ns.  There's tons of go-fast goods under the hood to go with plenty of to-die-for JDM products.  But the most respectable thing with Nguyen's car is the fact that not only does he take him his healthy fair of trophies at shows across the nation, he's a die-hard automotive enthusiast that hits the track on a regular basis with this S2000.  Much respect to Nguyen, his car and his passion for the sport.  More photos by Sean Klingelhoefer after the break.
