Aston Martin Cygnet Official, Luxury Sport Compact Heading Our Way

The rebadged Toyota iQ will carry a hefty price tag

Aston Martin Cygnet Official, Luxury Sport Compact Heading Our Way

Rumors have been floating for quite some time now that Aston Martin would be releasing a subcompact luxury vehicle similar to what we've seen out of Smart Car and Scion.  The Aston Martin Cygnet will essentially be a rebadged Toyota iQ sporting a price tag anywhere between $45,000 to $75,000.  It'll be outfitted with a 1.3L engine pushing out a meager 97 horsepower.  Whether or not this car will be a hit will still be questioned, especially since Toyota will be releasing the iQ as a Scion.  At least now when those Scion owners rebadge their iQ's with an Aston Martin badge, it wouldn't be too far out of the question.

Gurnade and Tjin Edition Design Scion tC

Tjin Edition Scion tC

Gurnade and Tjin Edition Design Scion tC

In light of the recent release of the new Scion tC, Gurnade and Tjin Edition have teamed up to design their own interpretation of the new Scion coupe.  Due to the newly fashioned sculpted roof, the car has been outfitted with wide box-like fenders, aggressive front fascia, and matching sideskirts.  Although, the design doesn’t stop there!  To complete the look, the roof was chopped nearly 4 inches, and the rear windows were extended to visually lengthen the car.  Deep-dish DPE wheels, Status racing seats, harness bar, custom grille, Webasto sunroof, HID headlights, and slammed stance thanks to Air Lift suspension also add to the visual appeal and design.

Titan Motorsports 3-Second Scion tC at ADRL [video]

A great HD video showcasing Titan Motorsports' record breaking Scion tC

Titan Motorsports 3-Second Scion tC at ADRL [video]

Titan Motorsports has been paving the way in representing sport compacts on the grand drag racing stage.  With the stands packed at ADRL's U.S. Drags III, Titan Motorsports took the event win with consistent 3-second passes.  It's hard to believe to this day there are still many muscle-V8 owners that doubt the performance potential of a 2JZ.  Check out the video after the jump!

Titan Motorsports Runs 3.996 @ 182.45mph in the 1/8th!

Record setting pass makes their Scion tC drag car the world's fastest import

Titan Motorsports Runs 3.996 @ 182.45mph in the 1/8th!

Having worked at Titan Motorsports in the past, I know just how passionate they are at setting records and paving the way towards the future of the sport. I was there for the start of their Street Supra program that turned to dominate any track it went to. From there they progressed to Pro RWD status and now currently tackle the ADRL series against American Muscle with giant motors complemented with equally giant turbos and shots of nitrous. Nonetheless, Titan Motorsports continues to campaign their Scion tC drag car with its feeble 2JZ motor.

They have just became one of the first five cars in the world to hit the 3-second mark on a 10.5 tire and have joined the exclusive Mickey Thompson 3 Second Club. Check out the video after the break of the record-setting pass.

Chris Rado FWD in the 6's?

Could this be true? An import FWD drag car in the 6's?

Chris Rado FWD in the 6's?

Rumor has it that Chris Rado has broken the 6-second barrier at Pomona this past weekend in his FWD Scion tC.  Though there is some controversy with the 60-foot time on the slip, making this pass "unofficial", the truth is Rado's tC has been groundbreaking and on the edge of 6's for a while now.  We're extremely excited to be seeing it at the upcoming NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway and hopefully he'll be setting some records there.

Scion xB Boxvan?

I have seen lots of drifferent interesting conversion done to a Scion xB, this one is definitely another interesting one.  Owner decided to take it into his own hands and turn this xB into what looks like a Box van.  You loose 2 doors in the back, but you do look different than every xB out there..  What do you guys think?  Would you do this to your xB.  Check out more pics after the break.

Scion tC: Panda Hood!

Something definitely way different than the norm

Scion tC: Panda Hood!

I'll be the first to admit that I can relate when people get bored with their cars and look for new and interesting things to do them to set them apart from the crowd.  This Scion tC was one of the first ones that I saw and digged when I first got mine.  The wheel setup is really nice for a tC and he kept it simple with the OEM lip kit and a front carbon fiber diffuser.  I just ran across new photos of his car and he did something mighty interesting to the hood.  If you look carefully it's a neat little camouflage panda themed hood that he painted himself.  What are your thoughts?  Another pic after the break.

Chris Rado's Time Attack Car Exposed

Rado's new car is ready and poised to take on time attack tracks across America.

Chris Rado's Time Attack Car Exposed

This past weekend, Chris Rado brought out his newly finished Time Attack tC to display at the Scion Exposed Event over in Sarasota, FL.  The car featured a widebody, an aerodynamic front splitter and rear wing to keep it planted on the track.  Combine that with the HRE Wheels and Brembo brakes all around and it's something to just feast your eyes on.  This should be one mean machine once it hits the track.  More pics after the break.

Scion iQ Concept Car

Scion brings out another interesting concept car to debut at the New York Auto Show

Scion iQ Concept Car

Scion has branded itself as the car manufacturer that fully supports the customization of their vehicles.  It leaves no surprise the success they have had capturing the market and the ever-growing community of Scion owners nationwide.  The iQ debuted in Europe last year, so it was just a matter of time to see when Toyota would bring it to the stateside and brand it as a Scion.  But what's a huge winner here is the debut of the Scion iQ isn't just an ordinary iQ that would be seen as a production model overseas.  In traditional Scion form, this iQ Concept has been overhauled and customized appealing to Scion's core market.  An extremely clean widebody was done along with custom 18-inch wheels, bright yellow paint makes for a stylish theme overall.  Once again Five Axis worked their magic with Scion to produce one awesome concept.  Additional photos and official press release after the jump.
