Random Hot Cars

I admit I spend a lot of time lurking on forums and blogs just looking for nice cars to look at.  It probably goes back to the days where I had to scour everywhere looking for potential feature cars for Modified Magazine.  So maybe it's habit, or maybe I just like looking at nice, modified cars.  So here's just a random collection of cars I ran across on the Web today - plenty more after the jump.  Feel free to leave a comment with a link to something you think should deserve the spotlight!

Honda S2000: Carbon Fiber Wrap

It seems the matte black craze is slowly subsiding, or perhaps it's just evolving.  Originally many opted to just wrap their cars in matte black vinyl, then some stepped up by painting their entire car that way.  There seems to be a new big player on the block however, as this S2000 owner opted to have parts of his car wrapped with carbon fiber vinyl.  Rumor on the street is that this track car will get a full treatment, but here's some work in progress photos.

Spotted: Voltex S2000 Aero Kit

Spotted this S2000 being mocked up with Voltex's new Aero kit.  Looks like its going to be a pretty aggressive kit, with the 3 piece front bumper section.  But I am sure it will be functional as with all Voltex aero kits.  Well report back once we receive more info and pics on the kit.

CCW Honda S2000

What is it with sweet offset on Honda S2000's lately?  I have been seeing more and more of them just make me want to get a S2000.  I spotted this this sweet S2000 on Fat Kid Photography's Flickr page.  The car is seen sporting some polished CCW wheels, with the perfect offset and stance.  More pics of this sweet ride after the break.

Costas Steriou has posted up some pics of his new ride a black Honda S2000.  While doing his photoshoot he got harassed by the cops a bit, a norm when doing photoshoots.  He was able to talk his way out of it, and was able proceed with his light painting method to capture this beautiful ride.  More pics after the break.

Voltex S2000

Voltex has become one of the premiere JDM brands for body kit tuning and accessories.  Most popular amongst the Mitsubishi Evolution crowd, I would guess that Voltex will now become a popular brand with Honda S2000 owners.  Evasive Motorsports has recently posted up photos of the Voltex body kit renderings for the Honda S2000 and I must say that I'm a fan.  I'm always weary about body kit styling and how gaudy or "loud" they can be, but this one is very clean and true to Voltex form - functional.  Rear shot after the break.

Hybrid FWD Honda S2000?

The S2000 is back, well kinda..  7tune has just posted news on Honda bringing back the S2000, but will not share the same rear wheel drive front engine platform as previous model.  The new model will be power by a hybrid motor and will be driven by the front wheels.  This should definitely be interesting.  The new model won't hit the showroom floor though till 2012.

Kraftwerks Supercharged S2000

This past weekend while covering the Formula Drift event in Las Vegas, I got a chance to take some snaps of this killer Honda S2000.   Currently this car is pretty stout with 409whp thanks to some motor work and a Kraftwerks SC setup.  Featuring a massive parts list, this car is one to remember and look for while in Vegas.

Sean Klingelhoefer: Tamon Design S2000

I am a big fan of Sean Klingelhoefer, and the last shoot I remember he did was an one on the Mugen NSX RR Concept - he's back this time again with a shoot from Japan.  This time he had a chance to shoot a Widebody Tamon Design Honda S2000.  The car features some pretty crazy bodywork, one of the best I have seen on a S2000 I think.  Check out the rest of the shoot after the break.

A New Style? Fad? Hoax? Huh?

Well it's natural that we see wood grain interiors trim or carbon fiber interior trim... it's also natural to see carbon fiber hoods.  We've seen trunk interiors laid with wood-finish pieces - but this is something entirely new.  This creative S2000 owner made his own hood out of wood.  Will this catch on?  Leave your thoughts in the comments.
