Mugen Honda CR-Z Seen Stickered Up, Ready to Roll

Honda's new CR-Z is getting a ton of attention out in Japan from Mugen to Spoon to HKS. Hybrid-tuning has taken a whole new formation in the Land of the Rising Sun ever since the Prius and Insight made a splash. Mugen was one of the first few on the forefront tuning the CR-Z, naturally, and now they've taken an interesting "green theme" throughout one of their project cars. A ton of race-inspired graphics but there's absolutely no denying that Mugen is promoting green and hybrid on their CR-Z. We'll be interested to hear some hardcore performance figures out of the car and seeing how it does in the States. More pics after the jump.

Mugen hasn't been making a lot of noise recently, especially with Honda introducing and marketing the Modulo brand heavily at Tokyo Auto Salon.  It almost seems as if Mugen is nonexistent these days.  They've taken the new Honda CR-Z hatchback, the successor to the ever popular CR-X, and has decked it out with a full aero kit tuning package, exhaust, possibly suspension and wheels.  Some may not be a fan of the styling of Mugen, but it definitely shows that the new CR-Z has tuning potential.  More pics after the jump.

The current European Honda Civic Type-R has not shared the same kind of success that the previous Civic Type-R had. In fact, many suggest that the car itself has gone soft and lacks the true spirit of what the Type-R once stood for. That may all change soon thanks to Japanese tuner, Mugen.

Here are some of the first pics of Mugen's upcoming modifications for the European spec Civic Type-R. Not much is known about it right now but initial specs suggest upgraded suspension and 18-inch wheels, giant front splitter and rear wing, huge exhaust, and a power plant putting out 237 bhp and 160 lb-ft.

The Acura TSX is a car that is often overlooked in the tuning industry.  It doesn't get the kind of love and attention that the car is replaced, the Integra Sedan got. Don't tell the people on the TSXclub.com forum that though or you are likely to get flamed to death.

Drew, aka 06TSX from Hawaii has built himself a winner here. He took the route of a true JDM tuner and sourced parts bevy of JDM companies. Everything on his car is done right from the JDM Honda Accord Euro-R conversion to the full Mugen Lip kit and rear trunk spoiler. Even his suspension gets love with the JDM Air Runner bag suspension and Endless brake conversion. Drew finishes off the look with a set of staggered Work VS-XX wheels in 19" flavor.
