Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 Race Car Available For $550,000

Got a little over half a million digging a hole in your pocket?  Always wanted to campaign a race car at the world's most prestigious tracks?  Well, now here's your chance.  Mercedes-Benz has officially released the information on their upcoming SLS AMG GT3 race car available for purchase by the general public.  Priced at $550,000, the new owner will receive a turnkey race car with Mercedes-Benz tried and trued racing technology backing it.  Best of all, a pure unadulterated video has been released showcasing the SLS AMG GT3 doing some testing.  Check out the video and the official press release after the break.

Brabus Fills Mercedes-Benz S-Class With Apple Products

Legendary tuning house BRABUS has taken the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and turned it into an Apple Multimedia-equipped 340 km/h (211 mph) 750 hp monster, making it the fastest office on wheels.

The BRABUS “iBusiness” represents the world debut of an absolutely unique luxury sedan. The four-seater based on the Mercedes S 600 reaches a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph). It is powered by a BRABUS SV12 R Biturbo 750 12-cylinder engine with a rated power output of 750 hp (740 bhp) / 552 kW and a peak torque of 1,350 Nm (995 lb-ft). The designers from BRABUS combine this engine with an innovative multimedia system that features the latest Apple components. Two iPads in the rear compartment not only play movies, music and Internet content, they also control all functions of the S-Class COMAND system.

Brabus Releases Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Tuning Package

Carbon fiber, handling and ultra lightweight! That’s the guiding principle of BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com) for refining the Mercedes SLS AMG. The exclusive sport program comprises aerodynamic-enhancement components made from carbon fiber, ultra-lightweight forged wheels, an electronically adjustable smooth-ride suspension (Ride Control) suspension, a titanium exhaust system with bypass gate, and BRABUS leather.

Extremely light yet enormously strong carbon fiber identical to the one used in Formula 1 racing was chosen as the material for the BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement components. The components were developed in the wind tunnel. They give the gullwing car an even more striking appearance while optimizing its aerodynamic properties. All components are available either made from clear-coated carbon fiber for a true racing flair or can be painted to match or contrast with the car’s exterior color.

MEC Design Release S65 AMG Replica Kit for Mercedes-Benz W221 S-Class

MEC Design may not be as well known as Brabus or Lorinser, but they clearly have a heart for anyone with a thick enough wallet.  A customer sporting a 2007 S550 wanted to refresh the car, reflecting the styling of a current S65 AMG.  MEC Design could only oblige, coming up with a conversion that includes their version of S65 AMG bumpers, 20-inch three-piece MEC Xtreme III wheels, a high performance exhaust system and an ELS lowering module.  In the interior is an MEC Design steering wheel and floor mats with leather edging.

We noticed the lack of the LED daytime running lights in the headlamps, but we're sure that could be retrofitted if you really wanted.  Check out more photos after the jump.

As for all other Mercedes models BRABUS offers an extensive product lineup for the E-Class Cabriolet that leaves nothing to be desired. Vorsteiner V6E Aero Package for 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

Vorsteiner has been on a rampage recently with several aero package releases for all the hot new Euros in America. Their newest release is for the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and consists of a front lip spoiler, rear trunk spoiler and rear diffuser all in lightweight carbon fiber goodness. Vorsteiner paired the luxury sedan with a set of V-308 3-Piece Concave Forged wheels. The overall package is clean and simple yet lending a much sportier overall look to the E63 AMG that already has the performance to back it up.

Freshly Squeezed Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

I admit it took a while for the new W212 E-Class to stick with me, but now I'm a huge fan.  Especially after seeing this one.  Orange isn't normally known to be compatible with luxury cars, but damn - it just looks fantastic on this AMG E63.  The carbon fiber accents and black highlights really set the car off and I would definitely be first on the list if I could afford one of these.  Apparently AMG Performance Studio built it for a customer; they're known to customize to whatever the customer wants with AMG quality.  Check out more pics of this beautiful ride after the break.

Renntech SL65 Black Series Video

Having had the privilege of shooting several of Renntech's cars for features a few years back, I've seen first-hand the work they put into tuning Mercedes-Benz.  Keeping a nice and subtle approach to it all, Renntech is probably the more ideal Mercedes-Benz tuner for the conservative ones not looking for crazy and wild body kits and screaming look-at-me now styling.  Instead, they fine-tune what Mercedes-Benz has already established, reinforcing performance as the foundation for all their tuning programs.  If you've ever caught site of an SL65 Black Series in your rear view mirror, you'll know that this car looks menacing with its widebody.  Now Renntech has improved the performance even more - hitting over 800 hp on the dyno.  Make sure to check out the video after the break, it's not something you want to miss.

Lorinser Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift

Lorinser has done a fantastic job styling and offering tuning kits for various Mercedes-Benz vehicles over the last few decades.  Recently MBZ facelifted their S-Class and Lorinser has followed suit refining their kit to fit the new mold.  It's gorgeous to say the least, and seems to offer just the progressive styling the S-Class needs to convert it from mundane luxury commuter to a true neck-turner.  Check out more photos of this beauty after the jump.
