Skunk2 Drive-By-Wire Pro Series Throttle Body

Skunk2 is revolutionizing the way we look at sport compact parts

Skunk2 Drive-By-Wire Pro Series Throttle Body

Back in the late 90s when I first started getting into sport compacts and imports, Skunkworks was the name to pay attention to for naturally aspirated tuning.  Their ground breaking naturally aspirated Integra was setting records and their parts backed it all up.  A few years later, their name was changed to Skunk2 Racing, but the brands and the parts never changed.  They continued paving the way, mostly in the Honda and Acura market, with state-of-the-art goods that we all loved.

Today I got an obscure email from Skunk2 saying that they had developed something revolutionary with their newest Honda product.  I was a little skeptical at first thinking, what can be so revolutionary in the Honda market?  Well low and behold, Skunk2 Racing has made the first ever drive-by-wire big-bore throttle body and it's worth shining the spotlight on.  Check out more photos of this beauty after the break along with Skunk2 Racing's product description.

What were they thinking... Civic

Speechless..

What were they thinking... Civic

Ok not sure what to think of this but atleast the photography is nice...  This car, used to be a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan and has been converted into this not so nice car.  It features headlights from a Maserati and tailights and side mirrors from a Ferrari.  A lot of money has been poured into this car, but atleast they could have made it nice...  what do you guys think.

Marc-111's Honda Civic Coupe

Some photos showing off one of my favorite Coupes of all time

Marc-111's Honda Civic Coupe

The first car I ever owned was a 1999 Honda Civic Si, so I still have a real soft spot for cleanly built Civic coupes.  This one has been one of my favorites for some time now, and I can across several photos of it and just had to post up a small feature.  Its pristine exterior flows into the interior and the engine bay where a fully shaved K-series resides.  Plenty of Spoon Sports goodies on the inside and outside complements the car to a full package.  Definitely one of my most favorite builds out there ever.  Plenty more photos of the beast after the jump.

Sean Klingelhoefer: Honda Civic

Inspired by the Judgement day

Sean Klingelhoefer: Honda Civic

Sean Klingelhoefer recently was inspired by a scene in the Movie Judgement day, which featured an explosion scene that had the color toning that you see in his pics.  He got out there and shot this sweet Civic and with some Photoshop magic, you have some post nuclear fallout pics!  More from the photoshoot after the break.

Gold EK with EL Front End

Definitely one of the cleanest and most unique EKs I've seen

Gold EK with EL Front End

I'll be the first to admit that it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to building Hondas and Acuras.  Not so much that I've built a couple myself, but more so that over the last 10 years it seems like I've seen anything and everything that can possibly be done to a Honda and/or Acura.  I was browsing through random Flickr accounts and ran across this shoot by KevBurgler that really caught my eye.  The shoot itself is fantastic, the lighting is great and so is the composition.  But it was the car that raised my eyebrows.  From the rear it looks like your typical clean EK, but the front sports the Canadian EL front end that I have always been an odd fan of.  Combine that with the aggressive fitment of CCW's wheels and this EK is very refreshing to see.  More photos after the jump.

East Coast Honda Meet

Looks like the East Coast hs its own Eibach-sized meet now!

East Coast Honda Meet

Living out here on the West Coast we're a little more fortunate to have events and gatherings such as the Eibach Meet.  A month ago we reported the Eibach meet with plenty of photos of California's hottest Hondas.  I ran across this guy's Flickr account and saw a ton of photos from an East Coast Honda Meet that seems to have brought out more cars from different states and a high caliber of quality.  The Milano Red Civic Coupe is definitely my favorite.  A few more photos after the jump.

Bembe From MB Racing 2009 SFWD Beast

These new cars being built proves that drag racing is alive and well

Bembe From MB Racing 2009 SFWD Beast

The SFWD class has been the most popular class of sport compact drag racing for the last several years now.  People have been continuing to push the limits on what they can do with cars hitting the 8-second mark.  We're excited for the drag racing season to be underway now and look forward to plenty of new cars coming out.  We spotted this EG sporting a wicked carbon fiber front and a beefy B-series setup that will be campaigned this season.  We can't wait to see it hit the track.  Few more photos after the break.

Prayoonto Racing / Driveshaft Shop Civic

We find a sneak preview photo of the newly reskinned Prayoonto Racing EG

Prayoonto Racing / Driveshaft Shop Civic

A couple of months ago Prayoonto Racing announced a collaboration with The Driveshaft Shop for their all motor 1995 Honda Civic EG street class race car.  A few renders popped up throughout the web with the new graphic scheme and we couldn't wait to see how it would turn out with the car complete.  We revisited the original thread on Honda-Tech.com and caught a glimpse of the almost-ready vehicle.

ItsMyHonda.com: Justin Campney's Civic Si

Browsing through ItsMyHonda.com's member listing, we came across this clean Si

ItsMyHonda.com: Justin Campney's Civic Si

One of the coolest parts of having automotive community sites is the collection of cars they have from the users.  We'll be browsing the ItsMyCarGarage community sites on a daily basis looking for cool user cars to showcase.  So check it out and join today for your chance to have the spotlight on you.  We began by browsing through ItsMyHonda.com today and ran across this clean Electron Blue Civic Si.  Having previously owned an Electron Blue Civic Si before, I have a natural love for the chassis.  Owned by Justin Campney, the car sports tons of JDM mods from Spoon Sports, TEIN, Carbing and plenty of Civic Type-R goods.  The gold Work Equip wheels definitely sets the car off.  An extra photo after the jump along with his mod list.  If you haven't had a chance yet, check out the community websites for your vehicle make and join today.

Sportcar Motion wins at Redline Time Attack!

1st Round @ Buttonwillow Raceway

Sportcar Motion wins at Redline Time Attack!

Round 1 of the 2009 Redline Time Attack series kicked off this past weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway, and although the race was plagued by excessive wind storms and the occasional runaway tumbleweed, overall the weekend was a success. With reportedly more participants, more spectators, and more overall support from the industry, its seems that this should be a banner year for the series.
