speedART Tunes Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid

Toyota's Prius and Honda's CR-Z aren't the only modified hybrids in town

speedART Tunes Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid

speedART speedHYBRID 450

The latest innovation of the Porsche Tuner speedART from Rutesheim near Stuttgart is called speedHYBRID 450 which is based on the new Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid. Please find attached an overview on the Tuning activities done by speedART:

Performance:

speedART offers for the V6 compressor engine a power enhancement with additional 70 HP, so that the system effort (petrol engine with electric motor) rises up to 450 HP and 570 NM. Regarding the performance, the effort of the speedHYBRID 450 is much better than the one of the Cayenne S. The speed-up decreases from 6.5 Sec. down to 6.0 Sec. and the maximum speed rises up to 252 Km/h. This means a plus of 10 Km/h compared to the original Cayenne S Hybrid and a plus of 22 Km/h compared to the usual V6.

The electric mode stays unaffected by the power enhancement. The speedHYBRID can be driven in the Zero-Emission-Mode as economical and as efficient as the original Cayenne Hybrid. Of course the function of the Sport- and the E-Power-Button stays the same, only that, when needed 70 hp more power for a sporty drive are available.

Rest of the release and photos available after the break.

What's This? A Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe?

Two-door conversion from Merdad looks surprisingly appealing

What's This? A Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe?

Here's a pleasant surprise - Merdad, a tuner based out of the UK, actually used to work with Gemballa. So needless to say they know their way around a Porsche and hopefully they don't go into the same fate as Gemballa did. They're looking to make a groundbreaking entrance to the general public by offering a Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe conversion, scaling the massive four door SUV to a sporty two door...well SUV.

Merdad also outfits the car with their own kit and engine mods pumping out more horsepower. Not a whole lot of details are out, but the renderings say it all. We can't wait to see one in person to see how well or not well it's executed. More pics after the jump.

Lumma CLR 550 GT for 2011 Porsche Cayenne

The big, bad boy on the block just got bigger and badder

Lumma CLR 550 GT for 2011 Porsche Cayenne

There's great anticipation for the newly redesigned 2011 Porsche Cayenne and Lumma Design isn't wasting a minute by restyling a restyle.  The kit consists of a new front bumper, vented hood, new grille and carbon fiber spoiler lip.  LED daytime running lights (that everyone seems to be doing now) are seen along with four fog lights.  Side skirts, fender flare extensions and a set of 23-inch wheels makes the Cayenne a bigger and badder SUV than ever before.

Check out the official press release and more photos after the jump.

Enco Gladiator 700 GT Biturbo Porsche Cayenne

Tuned Cayenne

Enco Gladiator 700 GT Biturbo Porsche Cayenne

Up until the year 2002, it was completely unthinkable to most people in Germany, and especially to sports car fans, that Porsche would at some point in time make a sports utility vehicle. The name Porsche has always been synonymous with thoroughbred sports cars, in most cases rear or mid-engined. However, the Cayenne proved to have the recipe for success. In the 2003/2004 financial year it moved almost 40,000 units and was by far the most popular Porsche model.

The “Zuffenhausen Bull” also quickly became popular with tuners, as it offered, both visually and technically, an outstanding basis for monumental show and performance projects. Less well-known than the market leaders, Chemnitz-based ENCO Exklusive have produced probably one of the best Cayenne interpretations with their ENCO Gladiator.

Ugliest Cayenne in the World?

A user has spotted this modded Cayenne featuring green paint and a set of probably 28's or 30's wheels, painted to match.  Making it quite possibly the ugliest cayenne..  What do you guys think.  More pics after the break if you can handle it.

Updated:  Ok maybe this one takes the cake.  Thanks kokuszgolyo for the link

Russian Attack: Status Design Reimagines the Porsche Cayenne

That's a Porsche Cayenne?

Russian Attack: Status Design Reimagines the Porsche Cayenne

When the first Porsche Cayenne rolled off the assembly line, many were questioning as to what Porsche was thinking venturing into SUV territory. Well, many years later, the Porsche Cayenne seems to be a popular choice among the wealthy, it has even gained a following with the after market tuning crowd.

The latest company to attempt rhinoplasty on the Cayenne is Russian outfit Status Design, whose grilled and gilled design is a radical departure from the standard SUV. Looking a bit like a Cayenne that's swallowed a handful of Ferrari Enzo front clips, this Status Design effort has all manner of vents and inlets which hopefully enable better breathing – check out the NACA duct on the nose. There's also an assortment of other changes, including a pair of odd flying buttress-like extensions below the rear-most pillar and some retro-minded color scallops on the side. It's certainly a unique and eye-catching look – whether that's a good thing is up to you.

In any case, while the Moscow Cayenne is just a rendering at this state, a production version is expected this Fall, complete with carbon-fiber and plastic construction, along with some LED garnishes that look rather familiar.

MAFF Muron Widebody Porsche Cayenne

Widebody tuning from Romania

MAFF Muron Widebody Porsche Cayenne

Popularity turned the Porsche Cayenne into quite a common presence on the roads. This explains why the german model features in the portfolio of so many car tuners. Unfortunately, the big sales volume made the aftermarket industry follow in the foot steps of the stock car manufacturers. And this is because they started producing the so called exclusive, unique body kits in large series.  Release and pic after the break.

Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS

The ultimate SUV?

Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS

Gemballa based their new machine, the Tornado 750 GTS on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and they'll be the first to tell you the relationship is lost. Although weight has been dropped by 250 kilos, horsepower has been jolted to 750 hp.

The manufacturer is quick to point out that the majority of the changes put in place on the vehicle was to whack this SUV into a full fledged "high performance sports car," but keeping interior space roughly the same. Carbon was used on the majority of the body, with extended front apron and rear skirt. A lip is built into the front apron, with a carbon-flapped spoiler at back. These changes give more downthrust, while giving the former SUV the "typical elongated sports car look."
