AC Schnitzer Shows Off BMW 5-Series F10 Upgrades

Traditional AC Schnitzer styling has been applied to the new generation BMW 5-Series

AC Schnitzer Shows Off BMW 5-Series F10 Upgrades

Everyone has been fairly quick to market on new upgrades for the BMW F10 5-Series, and AC Schnitzer is not far behind the competition.  It's a given that they would be involved, and it looks like they have way more in the workings for those looking for something even more aggressive than this current offering.

Currently AC Schnitzer only has a performance upgrade for the 530d which bumps up horsepower around 40 additional ponies.  They also have a pair of sport rear mufflers available and plans to have performance upgrades for the other 5-Series powerplants.

Suspension lowers the vehicle by about an inch, which is fairly mild.  AC Schnitzer also beefs up the brakes with an 8-piston caliper setup with cross-drilled rotors.  We'll assume that those are just the fronts.  And as always, AC Schnitzer has a huge variety of wheels available for the platform, as they do for all their BMWs.

The first of AC Schnitzer's body kits is their standard lip kit that carries the same styling we've seen in decades past.  Front lower lip, center grille and foglight cutouts adorn the front end while the rear sports a new diffuser.  Side skirts, trunk spoiler and roof spoiler round off the package.

AutoGuide and Jon Sibal Renders Up BMW 1 Series M Coupe

We can only hope BMW executes it this well

AutoGuide and Jon Sibal Renders Up BMW 1 Series M Coupe

Autoguide.com and Jon Sibal have teamed up mixing their creative juices together to come up with a BMW 1 Series M Coupe render. While BMW continues to tease us with what it's going to look like, Sibal and his talents seems to have already lifted off the car cover.

The exterior sports that has become traditional styling cues found on all M-series BMWs with a more aggressive front end and wider fenders. The render sports a set of 19-inch M3 Competition wheels.  Sources that have spotted the real BMW 1M has noted that this render is very close to the real thing.

We can't wait to see another M-product from BMW and hopefully it helps push more 1-Series onto the road.

Emotion Wheels BMW E92 M3 Pushes Over 700 hp, Tosses Out Stock V8

This Twin Turbo M3 hybrid is how it should have came from the factory

Emotion Wheels BMW E92 M3 Pushes Over 700 hp, Tosses Out Stock V8

Back in 2002, I decided to repaint my Civic a BMW Steel Gray and pull out the factory B16 and drop in an LS/VTEC hybrid motor. Back then that made my car a hybrid - not so much what the term means today. Instead of saving gas, we were guzzling it away for more and more horsepower. So deep down inside, we're just enthusiasts looking for more horsepower, not saving gas; and the best way to do that is to grab a motor from a bigger brother and put it in a smaller, lighter chassis.

That's exactly what Emotion Wheels did with this BMW E92 M3. Keeping it nice and subtle on the exterior, they shoved in the twin-turbo motor from the BMW X5 M / X6 M into the engine bay of the BMW E92 M3. Out went the V8 and in went the twin-turbo monster. And with a forced induced motor, it wasn't difficult for them to up the horsepower to well over 700. We can only imagine how fun this car is to drive. Check out more photos after the jump.

BMW X6 Interceptor Built by Met-R [with video]

Aggressive styling makes the BMW X6 really come to life

BMW X6 Interceptor Built by Met-R [with video]

We're still not sure what to think about the BMW X6. It's an odd vehicle from BMW and it has brought on some even more odd tuners to the platform. Met-R is a Russian Tuner out of Moscow and has created the Interceptor package for the BMW X6 and it's major aggressive. The video is pretty cool and well done in highlighting each component, which was designed by Zaur Khalilov with 3D rendering software and then produced via a CNC mill. The pricing is steep though, which is to be expected given that these aren't just run-of-the-mill low quality fibreglass components.

Make sure to check out the video after the break along with a nice photo of the rear.

Alpina Releases B3 S

Based on the BMW 335i E92, E93

Alpina Releases B3 S

Following its recent world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the new ALPINA B3 S Bi-Turbo is now available in the UK. Higher levels of output and efficiency make the model's unique edge in this rarefied market sector even sharper.

The new B3 S reflects the ALPINA ethos of ultra high performance combined with environmental consciousness. The 3 litre straight six now yields an extraordinary 400hp at 6000 rpm and massive torque – 540 Nm at 4500 rpm. In Coupe form this delivers 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and 186 mph, yet economy is improved (29.1 mpg combined) and CO2emissions lowered to 224 g/km.

Rest of the release and another photo after the break.

Jon Sibal Render BMW M1 Convertible

Sibal works his magic for an E88 M Cabrio Render

Jon Sibal Render BMW M1 Convertible

Jon Sibal has done some amazing renders and we are huge fans of his work.  He just recently posted up a blog with renders of what he believes a BMW M1 Convertible will look like and it's looking sharp.  I personally am a huge fan of the 1-series BMW chassis.  Though many believe it's not worth the price tag, the 135i packs a punch and is a ton of fun to drive.  The stock styling is a bit conservative though, so it's nice to see Sibal taking it a bit towards the aggressive side for his render.  We can only hope something like this does hit our streets.  Rear render after the jump.

BMW M3 + EVO = WTF?

This lovechild is not pretty!

BMW M3 + EVO = WTF?

OK so the title is a bit of an exaggeration, but this BMW M3 is sporting a giant spoiler that is reminiscent of the Lancer EVOs from previous years. It has been years since I've seen cars sporting spoilers of style, where they didn't belong. Hopefully the fad isn't making a comeback, I don't think we could do with it.

Berk Technology Gets Another Podium at Redline Time Attack!

A second place follow-up to their first place finish at the season opener

Berk Technology Gets Another Podium at Redline Time Attack!

Santa Ana, CA, April 26, 2010:  After a highly successful season opener to the 2010 Redline Time Attack Series Season, Berk Technology was looking towards returning to the top of the podium in back to back wins. This time they headed out to the desert to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Sin City, Nevada. But like after every successful weekend of racing, the next event doesn't always go as planned. Berk Technology fought off gremlins with their BMW 135i to an impressive second place finish, just a little less than one second behind top spot.

The weekend started off with an oil cooler leak that required some quick fixin' and the remainder of the practice sessions were dedicated to dialing in the suspension and aero on the Berk Technology 135i. With every track being so different and the weather conditions out in Las Vegas, Berk Technology analyzed all the data gathered through three sessions in order to get it ready for qualifying.

Rest of the release and pics after the break.

BMW M1 Spotted?

Member of 1addicts captures potential spy shots of the future BMW M1

BMW M1 Spotted?

Everyone has a mixed opinion on BMW's 1-series.  I personally dig it, having proved its prowess on the track.  It's a nicely balanced car with fairly good looks, functionality and the 135i is a blast to drive.  So it's no surprise that BMW is going to lend its M-moniker over to the 1-chassis.  Someone over at 1addicts.com shot these photos of what is potentially the future BMW M1.  It doesn't quite seem to look wider, which is a staple of all M-chassis, but this could just be a pure test of the powerplant under the hood.  We'll keep our eyes out and there's one more pic after the jump.
