2011 Bentley Continental GT Coupe Unveiled

(7 September 2010, Crewe, England.) For Crewe’s design and engineering teams, the new Continental GT coupe is an opportunity to set a bold and exciting direction for one of  Bentley’s most revered names – the Continental. The seminal and highly successful Continental GT introduced in 2003 represented the first step in Bentley’s renaissance and defined a whole new market segment. It was a luxury GT offering excellent usability that remained true to the Bentley grand touring spirit.

Now the new Continental GT 4-seat coupe builds on the success of its iconic predecessor, capturing that GT spirit but with even higher standards of design, engineering, luxury, craftsmanship, dynamic performance, everyday practicality and refinement.

Having had the luxury to experience Bentley's Continental Supersports myself, I have to say the vehicle is an entirely different experience than one would expect from a luxury vehicle manufacturer.  Sure the Continental is naturally powerful, but the Supersports is a truly exhilarating experience.  Performance you'd expect out of a Porsche with all the luxury from a Bentley.  Make sure you check out the video of Top Gear putting it to the test.

If your in the market for a new look for your Bentley Continental GT your in luck.  Vorsteiner has just release their new kit for the Bentley Continental GT. Which include a new Front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, and rear wing. All in Carbon Fiber Honeycomb Matrix (CFHM) structure which gives it more strength and durability compared to traditional hand laid carbon fiber or fiberglass.

Britto gets his hands on a Bentley GT

I am actually a big fan of Britto's Pop art work, but Im just not sure if Im really digging the Britto Bentley.  For his exhibition "Come to my World" in Berlin, the famous artist Romero Britto chose a Bentley Continental GT as a canvas for his cheerful and vivid signature motifs.

This is probably one of the most unusual Bentleys ever seen: a large, happy flower, little stars, squiggles and signs dance on the elegant hood and colourful, comic-like figures adorn the doors. The Continental GT - a static prototype built in 2003 - has become a truly unique work of art created by the world-renowned Brazilian artist Romero Britto. Bentley Motors donated the Coupe on the occasion of Britto´s Berlin exhibition "Come to my World" in the Automobil Forum Unter den Linden.  More from the release after the break.

Oliver had the opportunity to photograph this Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed.  To go along with the "speed" theme for the shoot, Oliver was fortunate enough to have the car positioned with some train tracks and abandoned trains.  The results are stunning and breathtaking.  His proper use of natural lighting and placement of the car is top notch.  Amazing photography work.  More pics after the break.
