Kansai All Star Drifting 2010 Video

The absolute coolest part about drifting is when more than one vehicle hits the track at the same time, executing some sideways action in tandem.  Even better is when it's more than two vehicles at the same time...or three...or more!  Kansai All Star Drift GP is one of those events on a tight track where some of Japan's best drifters go all out, all at once.  Sit back and relax and enjoy 10 minutes of some of the most exciting drifting action you'll ever catch, unless you're there live.

Ken Block Gymkhana Three, Part 1

Ken Block's Gymkhana videos have swept the Internet by storm.  The first one was a huge success and the second one, even though it had a lot to live up to, was just as entertaining.  Now the announcement has come that a third one is on the horizon and the first part has debuted today.  It's not quite what you expect being more of a music video infomercial, but still worth a watch in anticipation for the rest.

Coachbuilt Aston Martin Wanna Be Has $9.6 Million Price Tag

We've been treated with a lot of supercars and exotics in our lifetimes, but this one might just take the cake. Star Electric Cars in France will be producing eight of these custom-made Super Sport vehicles that take styling cues from the Aston Martin. It won't be an Aston Martin however, with a carbon fiber body and anywhere from 800 to 950 hp from the 5.4L twin-turbo V8. We're just blown away at the $9.6 million dollar price tag and with only eight being built, we're guessing we'll never get to see one in person.

Daijiro Yoshihara Scores Back-To-Back Formula DRIFT Wins

Long Beach, Calif. – June 6, 2010 – Formula DRIFT continued the season at Wall Stadium for Round 3: The Gauntlet. Daijiro Yoshihara wins his second event in a row, while Vaughn Gittin, Jr. podiums for the third straight event and retains the Pro Championship leader

Wall Stadium hosted Round 3: The Gauntlet to a packed venue. Fans were treated to clear weather and an action-packed weekend. The level of competition has increased forcing multiple “One More Time” calls from the judges, which gave the fans more head to head action.

World's Most Expensive and Fastest Supercars

I had the privilege of visiting O'Gara Coach Company today where they had a Supercar Showcase.  If a photo is worth a thousand words, then what's a photo worth when there's millions of dollars of vehicles in just one picture?  On hand at the event was the founder and sales director of Koenigsegg (along with a CCX), Horacio Pagani - the founder of Pagani (along with a Zonda R), the sales & marketing manager for Pagani, Sales Director for Bugatti USA and Wolfgang Hoffmann, COO of Lamborghini North America.

We were able to witness the presence of several Bugatti Veyrons, a Lamborghini Reventon, Koenigsegg CCX and Pagani's Zonda R all in one showroom.  Outside were a fleet of Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces and Lamborghinis.  Check out the photos after the jump, and we'll have full coverage from the event on Tunerzine.com soon.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. has become the poster child for Mustang drifting.  After a failed attempt with Ken Gushi, Ford has really hit the mark teaming up with Falken Tires and Gittin Jr. in marketing the Mustang to the right crowd.  Gittin's new Mustang took the top podium spot in the season opener at Long Beach and continued to dominate at round two in Road Atlanta only falling short to his Falken Tire teammate, Daijiro Yoshihara in the Nissan S13.

Our friends over at Enjuku Racing have been working hard at building their S14 "show car" dedicated to presenting the ISIS Performance product line. The rumor is that they'll be back in action at Road Atlanta with this newly built S14 that looks great, seems exciting and should be interesting to see them back in action. Who will be behind the wheel? Well, we have an idea, but we promised not to tell. But you should stay close to SpeedMotiv for all the newest news on Enjuku's S14 because we'll get to break it first. Berk Technology Gets Another Podium at Redline Time Attack!

Santa Ana, CA, April 26, 2010:  After a highly successful season opener to the 2010 Redline Time Attack Series Season, Berk Technology was looking towards returning to the top of the podium in back to back wins. This time they headed out to the desert to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Sin City, Nevada. But like after every successful weekend of racing, the next event doesn't always go as planned. Berk Technology fought off gremlins with their BMW 135i to an impressive second place finish, just a little less than one second behind top spot.

The weekend started off with an oil cooler leak that required some quick fixin' and the remainder of the practice sessions were dedicated to dialing in the suspension and aero on the Berk Technology 135i. With every track being so different and the weather conditions out in Las Vegas, Berk Technology analyzed all the data gathered through three sessions in order to get it ready for qualifying.

Miami Runway Shootout 2010

Took a trip down to Miami this past weekend to checkout the Miami Runway Shootout event put on by the guys over at Exotics Rally.  The event had a great turnout, with lots of exotics taking turns going as fast as possible on runway.  Many tuners were out, such as Underground Racing with their twin turbo Gallardo.  Heffner Performance also made it out with their twin turbo Ford GT to stretch out its legs on the runway.  If you missed the event click after the break to check out my coverage.

Video: Vaughn Gittin Jr. Rocks Formula DRIFT Long Beach

Vaughn Gittin Jr. has become one of the most popular Formula DRIFT drivers in the world. His over-the-top personality and crazy driving style has gotten him to the podium time and time again. Over the past few years, he's been campaigning a Ford Mustang with the best of them and has even represented Ford all around the world, drifting a Ford Mustang through Japan. His newest creation, in collaboration with Falken Tire and Monster Energy Drink, is a 2011 Ford Mustang that has already proven to be a winner. With its debut at the season opener in Long Beach, Gittin Jr. took the top podium spot with an overwhelming performance. No Mustang has ever looked smoother, faster and more fluid on the track. Scion Evolution Celebrates Sixth Year Anniversary

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. (March 2010) -- Scion Evolution (SE) celebrates their 6-year anniversary with an all-car meet and greet. In conjunction with Five Axis, Scion Evolution is proud to announce “Revue – an auto enthusiast shindig.” This star-studded event will be held May 1st, 2010 at Five Axis in Huntington Beach, California from 10am to 3pm. Revue will feature vehicles of all types, including cars and bikes from AutoFashion, bB Squad, Club Lexus, Monterey Park Scooter Works, Phaze2, Real Autoworks (RAW), and Tjin Edition RoadShow.

Revue is also a chance to raise awareness for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). “Because a personal fight with diabetes and the health problems it can cause, we felt that JDRF would be the best way to fight this silent killer at its early stages, which would help all children who may be affected by it”, says Nilo J.C. Miranda, co-founder of Scion Evolution. “To help support the cause a portion of the opportunity drawing profits will be donated to JDRF.”
